Who is The Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area
The Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area was chartered in 1953 and has grown to include over 80 women throughout Coos County. Our club has raised and distributed over $240,000 in just the last 10 years. Our fundraising events include: Chocolate Sales at local festivals & our Annual Celebrity Dinner & Silent Auction. We enjoy each other's company, while contributing in a positive way to our community and advancing the status of women worldwide.
The name “Zonta” is derived from the Sioux Indian word meaning “honest and trustworthy.”
